Vivekananda

How did Swami Vivekananda, who didn't get any Media Coverage during his primitive times, shoot to global fame?

It is called Bhagavat sankalpam. He has said somewhere that the power behind him was his master. He was a charismatic person and his stature and greatness grew manifold, when he steered clear of the temptations which so many sanyasis had succumbed to. It has also been the bane of recent times, that anything made in the West or hallmarked by the West, is sought after madly. His Chicago address and the ovation and his wide following thereafter in USA seem to have catalysed his universal appeal in India. Yes, he was heard and respected at a time when media was non-existent. He had harnessed that inner power that lies dormant in millions of others.
